  19. I really hate to do this but recent problems have me puzzled and distraught.
  20. I bought a used PC PAR a couple days ago and was lucky enough to have the NT
  21. 1.36 software laying around.  In addition, a fellow user was gracious enough
  22. to send me V1.51 yesterday.  At any rate, I installed the PAR and Micropolis
  23. 1GB drive in my machine running NT 3.51 (and NT 4.0 beta) and gave it a
  24. whirl.  Unfortunately, stability was NOT there.  With both versions of
  25. software, I'd get random and sometimes consistant READ or WRITE SECTOR
  26. FAILED messages during attempts to access the drive.  Since I am dealing
  27. with beta and unsupported NT PAR software, I am not sure if the problems are
  28. due to PAR drivers, the drive or what.  Dropping down to DOS is NOT an
  29. option as far as I'm concerned.

  31. At any rate, those of you using the PAR under NT, what are your experiences?
  32. Please respond via e-mail privately rather than back to the list.

  34. At this point, I'm very frustrated and wish I hadn't purchased the darn
  35. thing and gotten a PVR instead.  And being purchased used, it makes matters
  36. worse as I could have concievably blown $1K.  >:(  Waiting around until
  37. April is not fun either!
